View Full Version : Three pure beauty landscapes needed... Urgently !

For a national car campaign, the photographer Christopher Gilbert needs three extraordinary landscapes - seasons don't matter, but we need three different atmospheres. The lay outs are just examples, it is a question of feeling - beauty - emotion - waw...
We are not looking for recognizable landscapes (like Arizona), but unknown inspiring ones : freedom, liberty, happiness...
Can be anywhere in the world, but we need them near to each other (shoot will take 1 week - not one in Australia, one in Finland and the other in Rio ;-)... Can be desert, fields, rolling hills, mountains, we may fill some poles and wires next to the road, as long as it is beautiful - can be autumn - spring - winter : variation !
Southern hemisphere OK.
Production : quite urgent end of next week (yes !!) - probably crane shots (50m, 150ft) for aerials - crew : 4 persons + material. Images need to be delivered november 7th.
We're in budgeting stages now, but it would be great if we can make a proposition from out of Locamundo.com. Respond asap, please.

New Hampshire, USA, offers a variety of scenic landscapes in a very small area. In less than a two hour drive from Manchester's airport you can visit seacoast, moutains, lakes, country or cities. NH is home to Mt. Washington in the White mountains ,1916.58 meters, and features a winding road to the summit (www.mt-washington.com).
We have a strong crew base, and are located an hour from Boston.
For more information please contact me at mwoodson@dred.state.nh.us or visit www.filmnh.com. General information about NH can be found at www.visitnh.com. Additional sample photos may be viewed at http://photos.yahoo.com/filmnh

I include here one road from my files I have transformed into digital format. Unfortunately many folks imagine “Arizona” as 113,909 square miles of kitty litter — the land of the lone saguaro cactus stuck out in a ”Saharan” type desert-scape with a red sun setting behind it or John Ford’s myth of “The West”, Monument Valley. So the qualifier, “We are not looking for recognizable landscapes (like Arizona)’’ sort of throws me for a bit of a loop:
States like Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Nevada & of course, California have MUCH diversity of landscape to offer for your consideration — there are vast grasslands, stunning red deserts, farms, forests, rivers and “the Sahara” all within “reasonable” time of each other.
From late October well into May the southwest United States is perhaps the most consistently kind area in this country for film & photo production weather-wise. And weather is _always_ an issue. (Having said that, world weather has been on its head now for much of the past 5 years so... There’s my disclaimer for November ~ February weather in the American Southwest!)
I would need more/better specifics of _precisely_ what you _require_, what you _would consider as interpretations_ of your layouts and other additional information to proceed with more than this sample. More of my work can be seen on my site and it is best to contact me by way of my company email address: mr.mike@locationswest.com — I check this most often of any other mailbox(es) I have been given or assigned.
Thank you, Jo & Marino, for this opportunity and your great work on this wonderful locations-clearinghouse/library site you have made for us to take part in.
Best of luck to all, Michael Maersch

If we can get the car in question up here in time, that is if it's not available here anyway - you can go from the the hot & steaming to the icy & freezing and just about everywhere in between within a day. This is Iceland and it's incredible when it comes to car locations. Contact us at lgi@centrum.is or ring up +354 565 0463. Please don't use the website e-mail as we're having problems with it at the moment. Best regards. Vilborg Einarsdottir, prod. Location Greenland-Iceland. http://www.greenland-iceland.com.

Mt. Shuksan, snow-capped + Rocky crag with Picture Lake reflecting Shuksan at Mt. Baker summit, 30 minutes out of Bellingham, WA. Stunning! Could be the Alps.
Olympic Peninsula, Washington State, has area of lightly wooded land with double swing in the trees, rustic lean-to with Dungeness River running through area, many other unusual snapshot scenes of utter charm and beauty.
Sequim has a game farm with some Hollywood animals, bison, elk, zebra, Rhino, Polar Bear (Cold Power), Gentle Ben, with an animal handler.
Pictures to follow.
