I've been working with some local groups to begin creating a website capable of storing a large database of Colorado locations along with geographic and photo data. Input panaramas are tagged with Lat./Long Date and time of exposure, Cardinal directions of shot and notes on parking and such. The camera location of each Pan and Reverse is pined on Google maps. Almost all the tech required is freeware or next-to-nothing shareware.
The idea is to give photographers basically free info, and to give a point of contact for larger productions.
The format also allows for clients to have individual log-in so that info and photos can be shared online, in a confidential manner, nearly as quickly as it can be compiled.
I did it with wordpress and plug-ins, if anyone is interested in how Id be happy to share.
