For those who like pretty settings for film and photos,
This lovely custom built, very private home in the Hamptons, sits on a 10 acre pond with the New York State conservation dept. as neighbors. It is 400 feet in the woods and boasts cathedral ceilings and 3 levels with 4500 square feet of living space. It has multiple decks, a 16' x 32' in ground pool, a Gazebo down on the pond edge, a dock, and hammocks in the trees for the gentle breeze that is always present on the water. You can canoe on the pond and feel like you are in some secluded outback, or you can sit on the deck and feel like you are in a Kodak moment from the film, On Golden Pond. From the Herons, to the Swans and Geese, this home would be a desirable location for those who are creative and enjoy the simplicity and serenity of a beautiful location.
The interior of the home is also custom built. It is decorated primarily with each level being a different motif. The main level is predominantly antique dating to 1880. Though it reflects a very open airy feeling with the ceilings being cathedral and the kitchen, living, and dining rooms all being in an open floor plan. The living and dining rooms both have french doors to the deck and to seating areas around the pool which overlooks the pond. The master suite also has a cathedral ceiling and when its french doors are opened, from the bed you look out to the pool and then beyond to the pond with the gazebo in the forground. There are 2 additional bedrooms on this floor. One is decorated in 1860 cherry with a pier mirror and sleigh bed and the other is a guest bedroom with soft greens and pastels. All rooms on this level have oak flooring and have either Persian or carved chinese carpets. The second story consists of an open loft area that overlooks the living room and is open to the kitchen. It has 2 skylights and is used as a sitting room decorated with 1860-1880 period furniture and plants galore. A very garden like setting. From there we proceed into the second master suite. It has a sitting room with a cathedral ceiling, a wet bar,a beer tap, a large screen tv and its own private bath. The adjoining bedroom is cathedral as well and is decorated with a very fine persian rug, an oriental flair leather bedroom set and furnishings to match. It too has it's own private deck with a staircase down to the pool and the views from this particular deck to the pond are just wonderful. The property is truely the most picturesque from this deck.
The gardens display a wide variety of perrenials and annuals. This home also has its own fruit orchard.
If it is quiet, secluded and photographic that you are looking for, please call The Pond House for your next shoot on Long Island.
