Northeast Alabama is located at the base of the Appalachian range. Fort Payne and its neighboring town, Mentone, offer a wide variety of settings, from lakes and ridges to valley and spectacular mountaintop views. We even have one of the deepest canyons east of the Mississippi. Locations were featured in the movie "Southern Heart," quality local acting talent available for extras and much more.
Fort Payne has easy access to several surrounding metropolitan areas via Interstate 59 (located between Memphis/Atlanta and Birmingham/Chattanooga, Tenn.).
Note: Alabama is in the process of finally offering a film production incentive package to attract you to shoot here instead of neighboring states. You'll need to contact the Alabama Film Office at http://www.alabamafilm.org to see if you qualify.
