Good Green Rocket Body Productions is looking for a location for Revolver, a sync-sound 16mm thesis short film for Loyola Marymount University.
Revolver is about Illy Altifini, a hopeful and vivacious piano player, whose carefree yet overactive imagination gets her in trouble with her dinosaur piano instructor Mrs. Kranz. Illy is assigned to play Mozart’s Sonata in C in a winter piano recital. Over a period of time Illy attempts to improve upon her skill, but things like dancing notes, evil hallways, and menacing twins get in her way. It isn’t until Leverne K. Tuttle a man in a photograph, approaches Illy through her imagination, that she believes in herself. Finally, at the winter recital Illy proves Mrs. Kranz’s ferverent doubt wrong as she plays an amazing rendition of Sonata in C with the help of the musicians she’s befriended in photographs from along the house. The sound builds and it is apparent that multiple instrumental sounds are emitting from the piano, creating a cacophonous and melodic rendition of Sonata in C. It isn’t until Illy embraces her imagination that she finally achieves what she’s been practicing towards.
Looking for an old house with character to film for the piano teacher's house.
What sort of price range are you considering?
What style and decade was your house made?
Would you be willing for a production designer and set dresser to alter the look of your room? The house or room will be returned exactly the way we entered.
The shoot dates are October 19th-23rd.
We're a student production, all working for free. Please be understanding. We will consider fluctuating to fit a price.
If you are interested in helping out, please email with your availability.
More information available upon request.
